Long ago, longer than I care to imagine, a girl fell in love with the idea of a prince. Handsome, strong, her knight in shining armor. And when her oblivion was ripped away from her because of terrible experiences, she was left shattered on the floor. But someone must have noticed that through the wreckage and chaos of the passing crowd, she was still on the concrete. He wasn't incredibly handsome, he had never saved someone from the jaws of death before in his life, he was just kind of average. But unlike that passing crowd of people who never cared about the girl on the ground, he stopped, turned around, and knelt beside her.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
The girl, though broken and shattered in ways unimaginable, looked up and was met with the gaze of the boy. The boy who had turned around, who had been thoughtful enough to save her, even though it wasn't in the way she had originally thought. The boy who could change her life. Her knight in shining armor. Her real prince charming.
"I am now," she smiled at him. He offered her his hand, and together, they rose to their feet and walked off through the crowd, hand in hand.
Saved.
